Reach found his forever home!
Reach went to his new forever home yesterday on Long Island. He is on a 2 week trial but I have a good feeling he's going to stay. My house is always open to him if needed. He is going to live on a 20+ acre historical society estate. His new mom lives on the property and takes care of all the farm animals. She loves his name because I named him after a sailing term, one of her sons is a sailer. She said it's fate. Her good friend who helped her find Reach does herding and has stock. Reach is going to also dabble in herding. I think he will be a fantastic herding dog. He loves his new friends and was quite happy to play Border Collie games. They speak his language. Thank you to whoever shared my post on the Sheepdog L list because that's where she found him.
Today is a happy day for Reach. Pace is a little sad that his buddy left. He was barking through the window for him.
